Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue E. Taylor Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American producer and actor, is well-known for her role in the film Ray Undercover Brother as well as appearing in The Mentalist. She received a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies at Brown University, and a Master in acting at the Tisch School for the Art New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer who is active in theater, film and TV. She began acting on stage and then appeared in independent, mainstream and TV series. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico in addition to appearing in BET's epic show The Book of Negroes. Both of the roles she received critical acclaim and numerous awards and nominations, among them an award from the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress. She made her professional debut with the character Ariel on the stage in The Tempest in 1995. Alongside the Broadway production Come and Gone, she also has credits for Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Her film career is highlighted by her roles as a character in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Her part as a regular on ABC's drama-police series High Incident earned her praises.
