Antonia Lofaso

Antonia Lofaso's cooking is an invitation to explore the possibilities within her. Food she cooks up is a result of her fascination with the cultural aspects of Los Angeles, which was inspired by a visit to Los Angeles from Long Island's suburbs. Cavatellis and carnitas mingling within the same menu is what she believes in. What remains, however, in all of her dishes is an unifying vision of the future that longingly remembers the past. Scopa Italian Roots was opened in 2013 by Lofaso and is influenced from her Italian American roots. The restaurant received the warmest welcome. Lofaso's take on old-school Italian has been hailed as the one of Los Angeles' most compelling Italian restaurant chains. Food at Lofaso is genuine, warm and pleasing. Lofaso was an apprentice to culinary masters learning their methods and taking risks. She was not afraid to take risks to pursue her instincts. After a brief period she rose to the very top in Wolfgang Puck's Spago. Then she collaborated alongside many celebrities, as she transformed various Los Angeles restaurants. Lofaso, Sal Aurora, and Mario Guddemi partnered to open Black Market Liquor Bar Studio City in 2011. The Lofaso is now settling in Black Market, and through her partnerships she has created. Lofaso could finally enjoy the creative freedom she longed for. Black Market does not have a single direction, and this is its intention. It could start with potato chips dill Shishito chilies, and go on to the Korean food item called meatballs, and wings. Antonia is the anchor for this bold array of flavours. The success of Lofaso has been judged by her ability to be true to herself while still being able to comprehend her audience. She has been a part of a variety of television shows such as Top Chef Chicago, Top Chef: All Stars and Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child on The Food Network and ABC's Real O'neals. Her talents continue to be recognized as a judge on the CNBC's Restaurant Startup. Lofaso teamed up together with Penguin in 2012 to launch The Busy Mom's Cookbook 100 Recipes for Delicious home-cooked Meals. The book contains her personal story of the obstacles she faced while going to her first French Culinary Institute and raising her daughter Xea. Lofaso believes that all her achievements are the result of her love of cooking and she is capable of keeping her finger on the pulse of this industry by focusing in the kitchen. She is revolutionizing her industry's style by redefining chef's attire for style and functionality by launching her brand Chefletics. Lofaso is committed to remaining true to your values and your vision. To accomplish this, she has launched Antonia Lofaso Catering. The new company will offer a tailored experience to clients.
