Anamaria is a Romanian actor. Her debut on screen was Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film in which she won the British Academy Television Award as the Best Actress. French, German English and Romanian are the most spoken languages. Her father is a director of the theater at one of the best Romanian theater schools. At the Mangalia Gala for Young Actors, she won the Best Female Actor Award 2000. In 2008, the European Film Promotion Board recognized her as a European Shooting Star. She starred in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 semaines si 2 zile (4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days) produced by Cristian Mungiu, which won the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two additional awards (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI prize). In addition, she appeared in the film of Francis Ford Coppola Youth Without Youth. In 2008 she played Yasim Anwar in BBC Mini-Series The Last Enemy. Marinca was also a part of Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. She played Irma In Fury 2014 in which she played an German named aunt to Emma.
